Our Coaching Philosophy

Our coaching philosophy has 5 core concepts.

We follow these guiding principles in all our coaching work,

they offer our clients the very best of what we have to share with them.

Space - The opportunity to step away from the busy day to pause and reflect.

Confidentiality - The foundation of the openness, honesty and trust needed to create meaningful exchanges.

Relationship - To work with an individual in a way rarely experienced outside of the coaching process.

Self-Awareness - To recognise the sub conscious patterns and habits that fill our worlds.

Change - To facilitate the process of change using a variety of methodologies.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a human development process that involves structured and focused interaction.

It's sole aim is to promote desirable and sustainable change for the benefit

of the person being coached, those around them and wider society.
Increasingly, coaching is being commissioned by people at all stages of their careers and lives

and is recognised as a powerful vehicle for personal and professional development.

Online Coaching

With modern online video conferencing tools Online Coaching is incredibly close  to face to face coaching and brings many benefits:

- More convenient as the coaching can be done at your desk

or another location, you choose

- Saves travel which means less CO2 emissions,

kinder to the environment

- Reduces cost as you only pay for the actual time spent

with your coach and not their travel time

- We can connect via Zoom, Skype or MS Teams

Face to Face Coaching

Of course the traditional methodology of coaching

is one to one in person.

Where practical sitting down with your coach will allow certain

interventions to be utilised by your coach

which will be less effective online.

Although face to face coaching requires more investment

there are situations where we recommend this approach.

Our Approach

Re-think

Our approach to coaching starts with an exploration of your current thinking, perceptions, beliefs and patterns.

We can then begin the process of exploring whether those empower or dis-empower you.

What needs change to allow you to grow?

Re - engineer

The next stage of our process is to explore, utilising our extensive knowledge

of coaching interventions,

how to bring about the change you seek.

That will not happen overnight.

it will demand exactly the right resources, applied consistently, to create for yourself a shift that lasts.

Re -  establish

Once new ways of being have been identified, we have only been successful  once they become the new normal.

There will most likely be some bumps along the way. Continuing to learn as new situations emerge will deepen understanding, making our new way of being who we are.

Our coaching approach has evolved over many years of study and thinking.

Whilst we share it here as a simple three stage process it is in fact multi faceted.
The complexity and skill of coaching is to seamlessly blend learning interventions
to seek to attain the best result for those they work with.

What is Coaching?

A question we are often asked here at TLC.

It is also a question which causes debate within the coaching field.
